Congratulations to NTHU’s NSLI-Y students for the successful completion of Chinese Language Learning Program this summer!

This summer marked the second year that Dr. Wu, Chen-Huei of NTHU hosted the 2023 NSLI-Y Summer Program on the campus.

From June 29th to August 11th, a group of 22 students from the United States, aged 15 to 18, were selected by the American Council for International Education to participate in the NTHU x NSLI-Y Summer Program. Throughout the six-week duration, the NSLI-Y students engaged in Mandarin language studies, attended 6 Chinese culture and arts classes, spent 3 weekends with host families, explored iconic destinations like Taipei 101 and Sun Moon Lake, and engaged in conversational practice with NTHU students as language partners. The culmination was a theater performance on the evening of "Tsinghua Night," August 4th. As we watched them take the stage with confidence, it was evident that each of them had achieved their goals for improving their Mandarin skills.

Congratulations to all the students; we could not be more proud of your accomplishments. You are always welcome to return to Taiwan, whether for leisure or academic pursuits, and we look forward to the opportunity to see you again in the near future.
